Court of Chord is a web app for writing, transposing and sharing guitar chord charts with lyrics. It's built for songwriters and worship teams who need the same song in a different key every week. Write a chart or import one from a photo, change the key or capo in one tap, and share a setlist with your whole team. The app works in English, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
Who we are
Court of Chord is built and run by the Court of Chord team. We started it because songwriters and worship teams needed the same song in a different key every week, without rewriting the chart. Questions about the service go to admin@courtofchord.com.
What you can do
- Browse the public library of chord charts, or keep your own charts private.
- Transpose any chart by key or capo without rewriting it.
- Turn a photo of a chord sheet into an editable chart with AI import.
- Build playlists for a service or a gig and share them with your team.
- Sign in with Google. Paid plans (Pro and Organization) are billed securely through Stripe.

Privacy
This page explains what Court of Chord collects, why we collect it, and how to ask us to delete it. It describes how the product works today. It isn't legal advice.
Who operates the service
Court of Chord is built and run by the Court of Chord team. Contact admin@courtofchord.com.
What we collect
- Google account name, email, and profile photo when you sign in with Google.
- Songs, playlists, teams, and other content you create or upload, including chord-sheet images sent through AI import.
- Billing status and plan through Stripe. Card numbers stay with Stripe; we do not store full card details.
- Session cookies so you stay signed in. If single-device sign-in is on, opening the account elsewhere ends this session.
How we use data
We use this data to run the app: authenticate you, save your charts, process payments, convert uploaded images, and show public songs in search and sitemaps.
Public charts
Songs you mark public can be listed in the library, included in the sitemap, and crawled by search engines and AI assistants.
Services we use
Google (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), object storage for uploads, a search index for the library, and an AI provider for image-to-chart import.
Access and deletion
Email admin@courtofchord.com to ask what we hold about your account or to request deletion. We will need the Google email on the account.
Terms
By using Court of Chord you agree to these terms. They describe the product as it works today.
The service
Court of Chord lets you write, import, transpose, and share guitar chord charts and playlists. Features depend on your plan.
Accounts
You need a Google account to sign in. You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep access to that Google account secure.
Paid plans
Pro and Organization plans are billed through Stripe. You can cancel any time in Settings. You'll keep paid features until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Your content
You own the charts you create. You grant Court of Chord a license to host, display, and (for public songs) index them so the product can work. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share.
Copyright
Lyrics and music on Court of Chord belong to their songwriters and rights holders. Charts are shared for personal practice and worship preparation. Every public chart should credit its composer and lyricist. If you hold the rights to a song and believe a chart infringes them, email admin@courtofchord.com with the chart's URL, the song title, and your connection to the work. We'll review it and remove or restrict the chart.
Acceptable use
Do not abuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, or use it to distribute malware or spam. We may suspend accounts that harm the product or other users.
No warranty
The service is provided as is. Charts, AI imports, and uptime may be incomplete or interrupted. We are not liable for lost data or indirect damages to the extent the law allows.
